Elizabeth Shriver Consulting

Business administration, finance and project management support for creative professionals

What We Do

Creative businesses can tend to emphasize the “creative” and pay less attention to the “business.” It’s not surprising. Business systems, budget and finance and structured project management can seem like distractions from the essence of the operation. Some creative professionals find them mysterious, complicated, or challenging. The fact is, systems and procedures – whether they relate to money, technology or just keeping your work on track – are simply tools that create a framework for helping all kinds of businesses run more smoothly and profitably.

Elizabeth Shriver Consulting works with creative professionals to:

  • De-mystify standard business and financial processes
  • Untangle operational complexities
  • Create simple solutions that help manage financial elements, increase profitability and empower teams to collaborate efficiently

Elizabeth brings a refreshing sense of peace and calm to numbers.

About Elizabeth

For over 20 years, Elizabeth Shriver has helped a wide range of creative businesses – from solo artists to multi-city architecture firms – get a handle on the nuts and bolts of their businesses. Working with her, these people and organizations have enjoyed more predictable cash flow, built highly functioning working teams, harnessed technology with greater efficiency and implemented systems to keep their work on track. Elizabeth excels at translating logistics, financial protocols and project management into language and components that work in the often process-averse environment of creative firms. Her experience is highly practical and hands-on; since she has worked as both consultant and employee, she understands what really works on the ground. She rapidly assesses situations and formulates solutions that are simultaneously innovative and straightforward. Elizabeth has extensive cross-cultural business experience; she has lived and worked in the UK, Italy and Switzerland and has conducted business in Germany. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in art history from Barnard College.

Elizabeth always approaches tasks for the benefit of the organization as if the organization was her own business and her own capital was being risked.
